Member Administrator at Kommunal's Unemployment Fund

Kommunal's unemployment fund is one of Sweden's largest unemployment funds, and our main task is to pay benefits to our unemployed members. We are not an authority, but we exercise authority when we process and decide on matters concerning benefits and membership.

About the Role

As a member administrator, you are the first person our members contact when they have questions about their membership. You assist them via phone and messages and handle various membership matters according to the Unemployment Insurance Fund Act. Your tasks also include managing entries and exits from the unemployment fund as well as administering membership fees and payments.

Your primary mission as a member administrator is to provide our members with fast, professional, and legally secure service. You will be part of a team of ten colleagues.

The position is a temporary contract for 13 months, with a desired start date of March 23, 2026, or by agreement. The position is located at the unemployment fund's office in Visby.

We are looking for someone who is meticulous and efficient in their work and can switch between different tasks without compromising quality. You enjoy collaborating and working towards common goals.

We also see that you have a strong desire to develop in service and interaction to provide our members with the best possible experience. You are good at communicating and can explain difficult things in a simple and clear way, both verbally and in writing.

At Kommunal's unemployment fund, we always put the member in focus. Therefore, it is important that you are professional, credible, empathetic, and engaged.

We are looking for someone who has:

• At least a high school education
• The ability to interpret and apply regulations
• Good computer skills and the ability to use various programs simultaneously
• The ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. We work with clear language, which means we convert complex legal concepts into clear, understandable, and accurate texts for our members
• Good knowledge of English

It is an advantage if you:

• Have work experience in administrative tasks and customer service
• Have knowledge of the Unemployment Insurance Act and the Unemployment Funds Act
• Can speak multiple languages, such as Arabic, Persian, or Somali

Kommunal's unemployment fund has a collective agreement with Handels, with salary and working conditions according to the applicable agreement.
